From the President: The annual meeting was held April 8th. We really need more volunteer participation if we are going to continue to offer high quality events and services. If you are interested in helping out please contact any of the executives.

The most urgent immediate need is for a Vice President. Many thanks to Matt Dugan who stepped down as Vice President at the annual meeting. Matt was a key contributor during his 3 years as VP. Other executive members would also like to move along after sev eral years in their roles. Your association needs you ... please consider how you can help for 2008. It's a great opportunity to meet people and help out in your community.

Other key issues discussed included finances. The upperbeechwood2.com website has been up and running since last year but it could really use a Webmaster. If you are interested please contact the President through the Contact Us section of the site.

Charges and fees will be the same as last year except for a $15 increase to the base fee for members and associate members. Increases to the minimum wage in Ontario rendered this increase necessary. Similar to last year, each family taking swimming lessons will be required to pay a flat $25 fee which will include all children for as many sessions as you like. Construction will commence mid May on a permanent shaded area which will replace the benches closest to Leighland Drive. This structure will provide more privacy to the pool area as well as shade.

We are planning on offering activities very similar to last year. If you have any suggestions please let us know. Hope everyone has a great summer and enjoys all the pool and its facilities has to offer for kids, teenagers and adults.
